California Desert Arts Council (“CDAC”) is committed to protecting your privacy when you: (a) visit www.cadesertarts.org, or any other CDAC website (collectively, the “CDAC Sites”); (b) participate in our online contests and other activities; (c) shop at the CDAC Online Store; or (d) use the CDAC Sites to purchase a CDAC membership or make a donation.

CDAC does not collect personal information about an individual, such as names and mailing or e-mail addresses, unless the individual knowingly provides it. In choosing to provide this information, you agree to be bound by the terms and conditions of the Privacy Policy of the CDAC Sites as set forth below.

Your use of the CDAC Sites constitutes your acceptance of the Privacy Policy of the CDAC Sites.

CDAC POLICY ON INFORMATION COLLECTION

Online Purchases

When you order a product from CDAC, we need to know your name, billing and shipping addresses, telephone number, e-mail address, and credit card information to process your order. Your credit card information will be used only as needed to process your transaction. So that we can track your order, we will retain your order information for our records, but your credit card information is not retained.

Online Memberships

When you purchase a CDAC membership online, we will ask you to provide us with the information we need to process your membership and to acknowledge your contribution. This information includes your name, billing and shipping addresses, telephone number, e-mail address, and credit card information. Your credit card information will be used only as needed to process your transaction.

Online Donations

When you support CDAC by making a donation online, we will ask you to provide us with the information we need to process and acknowledge your contribution. This information includes your name, billing and mailing addresses, telephone number, e-mail address, and credit card information. Your credit card information will be used only as needed to process your transaction.

Online Surveys

From time to time, CDAC may invite you to participate in surveys posted on the CDAC Sites. You may decide whether or not you wish to complete such surveys, which may ask about your background, occupation, or similar questions. We use this information to help us understand our audience, which in turn allows us to better meet your needs and interests. No personal information from these surveys is ever disclosed to third parties, although CDAC may disclose survey results to third parties in anonymous, aggregate form.

Children Under Thirteen Years of Age

The CDAC Sites are not specifically dedicated to children and CDAC does not solicit personal information from children. Children thirteen (13) years of age or under are required to obtain permission from a parent or guardian before submitting any personal information to the CDAC Sites.

The CDAC E-Newsletter

As a service, CDAC offers visitors to the CDAC Sites the opportunity to subscribe to our E-newsletter which you can do here. If you choose to subscribe, you will receive the CDAC E-Newsletter. You may unsubscribe at any time by selecting the unsubscribe button located at the bottom section of the E-Newsletter.

CDAC POLICY ON DISCLOSURE OF INFORMATION

CDAC will not sell, trade, or rent the personal information you provide to us in purchasing a product or membership online, making an online donation, participating in an online contest, or by signing up to receive E-Newsletter. We may compile and provide aggregate statistics about our visitors, customers, sales, traffic patterns, and related site information to third parties, but these statistics will not include any personal identifying information.

CDAC may release account information when such release is: (a) reasonably necessary to comply with the law; (b) enforce the terms of any of our user agreements; (c) or protect the rights, property, and safety of CDAC, the users of the CDAC Sites, or others.

We may notify you by e-mail about events or activities at, or related to, CDAC that we believe may be of interest to you, or to alert you about sales or other promotional events at the CDAC Online Store. If you do not want us to use your e-mail address to contact you for these purposes, you may select Unsubscribe at the bottom section of the E-Newsletter, or send an e-mail with Unsubscribe in the subject line, containing your name and e-mail address to Christi Salamone, president.
